Biz Tip #6 – Have a Network to refer too!

In a world where 1 out of 10 small businesses make it to 5 years, lets take a look at 10 tips for Small Businesses.  I have had a close-up view of numerous business successes and failures — including a few of my own.

6. Have a network to refer too.  While you are singular in focus, be sure to be able to refer your client/customer to others. If you could refer to a service that you do not provide to an ‘associate’,  how would that make your business look?  Have you set up an affiliate relationship where there is exchange for a referral?  Maybe it is simply reciprocal referrals.  This could be an exclusive leads group, (ie. BNI, LeTip, American Spirit, etc) or your own rolodex.
