Biz Tip #5 – Have an overflow plan

In a world where 1 out of 10 small businesses make it to 5 years, lets take a look at 10 tips for Small Businesses.  I have had a close-up view of numerous business successes and failures — including a few of my own.

Have an overflow plan.  Too often as a small business owner we will ‘pause’ our sales and marketing because we are afraid we wont be able to fulfill what we have sold.  While that sounds like good reason, sales and marketing is all about momentum and consistency.  If you have too much work, what are you going to do?  Who can you sub/contract too?  What competitors have the same morals/values you do?  If you are looking for more work, who can you be an overflow option for?
